MISSONI ![]() "I am doing my best to leave this world a little better than I found it" |
|
| Christmas 2009 - New Year 2010 Dear friends, the beginning of the year does not coincide in all cultures and traditions, nevertheless these days offer an opportunity to reflect on past months and to prepare for a new cycle. More and more the interchange of wishes becomes an empty ritual, a mechanic repetition, just as the presents interchanged without feeling. In this way, wishes and presents are nothing else than the product of a model that requires us to be consumers, rather than active and responsible citizen; objects, rather than subjects. Therefore, I rather would like this message to be received as a shared reflection and stimulate a renewed commitment in search of real values of life. First inside ourselves, second in our relations with others and in how we take care of them, and finally in how we live those values in the organizations in which we are actively involved, for those organizations to be just, rather than merely mentioning justice and peace. Thanking all those who showed me true friendship during the past year, I send you all my best wishes for further building together a better world, everywhere and for everybody, starting with the weakest and the excluded, including future generations. Best wishes! |
